Imatinib

Imatinib (i-MAT-in-ib) is a new generation & highly effective medication, which prevents and stops the growth of cancer cells. The medicine assists your body in fighting against a type of cancer called chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) or gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST).

CML is a disease in which the patent's body makes too many abnormal white blood cells, which can result in sickness & one may also feel weak or tired. Anastrozole

Anastrozole (an-ASS-troh-zole ) is a medicine, used extensively in the treatment of breast cancer. Many of the breast cancer tumors grow in response to estrogen. This medicine interferes with the production of estrogen in the body, resulting in the reduction of the amount of estrogen that the tumor is exposed to, thus limiting or resisting the growth of the tumor.

Letrozole (Systemic)

Letrozole (LET-roe-zole) is used for the treatment of certain types of breast cancer in women. Female hormones that occur naturally in the body can cause an increase in the growth of some breast cancers. Letrozole functions through decreasing the amounts of these hormones in the female body. The medicine is prescribed & useful for women who have already stopped menstruating.

Tamoxifen (Systemic)

Tamoxifen (ta-MOX-i-fen) is a medicine, which blocks the effects of the estrogen hormone in the body. It is used to treat breast cancer in both men & women. It may also be prescribed to treat various other kinds of cancer, as determined by your doctor.

Tamoxifen is also used to reduce the risk of developing breast cancer in women, who are at high risk of developing one. Those women, who are at high risk for developing breast cancer, are at least 35 years of age and have a combination of various risk factors that increases their chances of developing breast cancer by 1.67% or more, over the period of next 5 years.
